Goodbye to Retiring In Colors and Stamp Sets - Card 1
Hi Everyone
For the next 4 weeks I'll be saying goodbye to the 5 retiring In Colors and 4 Stamp Sets.
The first card I have to show you features Primrose Petals and Summer Starfruit as my retiring In Colors and the Morning Meadow stamp set.
I love how this card turned out, it turned out better than I thought.

So how did I make this card?
Note:
·
You can use the lids of the ink pads to do your water colouring if you
don’t have ink refills, the colour just won’t be as vibrant.
·
I used just a couple of drops of ink refill and I found that was enough
to colour what I needed.
·
Use a zip lock bag as your palette for your ink refills, because once
your done you can just throw it away!
·
Colour Combination – Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit and Basic Gray
Step 1:
Start off with a
piece of A4 Basic Gray cardstock. Cut this in half at 14.8cm and score it at 10.5cm
– This will be your base.
Step 2:
Next you will need
some Watercolor Paper, cut this to 9.2cm x 13.7cm and round the corners.
Step 3:
Spritz the cardstock with water first; but don’t
saturate it too much, otherwise the colours will run too much, now with your
Aqua Painter and Ink Refills, start with Summer Starfruit at the top paint to
the middle of the card (the trick is not to go all the way to the edge). Then
from the bottom to the middle paint the Primrose Petals and blend it in to the
Summer Starfruit.
Step 4:
Let it dry, you can speed up the drying process by
using the Heat Gun on setting 1.
Step 5:
Next stamp the tall flower sprig from Morning
Meadow in Staz-On on the bottom right corner. Then stamp the sentiment next to
the flower sprig.
Step 6:
To finish off add some White Satin Ribbon and 3
medium Rhinestones underneath the sentiment.
Step 5:
Then attach the water colour piece to the Basic
Gray base with Dimensionals.

Old Olive, Early
Espresso and Sahara Sand
