Saying Goodbye to Retiring In Colors and Stamp Sets - Card 3
Hi Everyone
Welcome back to week 3 of my series
to Saying Goodbye to Retiring In Colors and Stamp Sets.
This week we will be saying goodbye
to Midnight Muse
I chose the colour combination from
the Color Coach; Midnight Muse, Pool Party and Cherry Cobbler.
I will admit I struggled with this
card, as I do with all Masculine Cards, and think just about everyone does,
that’s why I like to challenge myself and make masculine cards more often. But
I do like the end result.
So how did I make this card?
Step
1:
Cut a piece of Early Espresso
cardstock in half at 14.8cm and score it half at 10.5cm and sponge the edges
with Early Espresso Ink; this will be your card base.
Step
2:
Cut a piece of Very Vanilla
cardstock to 9.2cm x 13.6cm and sponge the edges with Early Espresso
Step
3:
Next with an arrow stamp, stamp a
repeating pattern, alternating between Midnight Muse, Cherry Cobbler and Pool
Party.
Step
4:
Next from the Label Love stamp set,
stamp the Happy Birthday and punch out with the Artisan Label Punch, and sponge
the edges with Early Espresso Ink.
Step
5:
Cut a piece of Midnight Muse
cardstock to 1 x 8.2 cm, and cut one of the ends at an angle, and sponge the
edges with Early Espresso Ink. Next pierce two rows of dots, with your Paper
Piercing template.
Step
6:
Attach the Very Vanilla piece to the
Early Espresso Card base.
Step
7:
And to finish it off, attach the
Midnight Muse piece towards the bottom of the Very Vanilla piece and with
Dimensionals attach the sentiment over the Midnight Muse.
